Evolved folks from around North America gathered in San Diego to launch new projects and welcome new team members.

In the Field: Evolved team in San Diego

The San Diego office always seem to hum with efficiency and camaraderie, but late May proved particularly bustling with the arrival of seven members of the Evolved team from out of town. Three of those members—Ari Ball-Burack, Elan Trager, and Cameron Wade—are recent additions to the Evolved family. Ari and Elan are this year's Summer Fellows, both from UC Berkeley, who will be delving deep into summer research projects through August.

Cameron, our new Principal, hails from Nova Scotia and brings decades of expertise in integrated energy system modeling to support long-term planning and decarbonization strategies. He has experience across public and private sector projects, helping clients evaluate investment decisions, system planning choices, and policy options in the context of deep uncertainty.

Other folks in town included co-founder Ryan Jones from outside Denver, Principal Katie Pickrell and Senior Analyst Benjamin Preneta from San Francisco, and Senior Partner Amy Wagner from Grass Valley, along with the regular San Diego residents.

While in town, we celebrated the kickoffs of a few new projects that focus on decomposing load forecast error, along with welcoming the new Evolved members with a cookout.
